We're here for you and your health. Things you should know about us include--

Our primary care philosophy:

We believe that by linking you to the same doctor each visit, we build a continual relationship throughout your college experience. Your doctor will know more about you and is therefore better able to meet your needs, providing for safe, quality health care.

Our health history request:

Students are requested to fill out a new health history form every year they are at ISU to ensure the most current information is available to a provider. Should you have a preexisting condition, please call us to speak to a nurse, who will assist you in coordinating care.

Our compliance with confidentiality, HIPAA and privacy law:

All services of the Thielen Student Health Center are strictly confidential, in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal laws. We will not release any information regarding students or the services they receive to anyone outside of TSHC without the written permission of that student or as required by law.

Our staff:

Our staff includes physicians who are board certified or board eligible in their fields, a nurse practitioner, nurses and a wide variety of allied health professionals who undergo constant continuing education. For more information on who serves you at the Thielen Student Health Center, see here.

Our respect for diversity:

People of every gender, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, age, physical and mental ability, religion and socioeconomic class may use our services with an expectation of safety and respectful treatment.
