Prevention, Education, and Outreach in the Wellness Center
Prevention, Education, and Outreach (PEO for short) has health information resources available for ISU students to use. The office also provides health promotion programming for the ISU community.
The PEO office is housed in the Wellness Center, located on the second floor for the Thielen Student Health Center. We offer free counseling in nutrition, exercise, and time/stress management. Visits with our dietitian (R.D.), exercise specialist, and time/stress management counselor are free to all registered ISU students and others (spouses, domestic partners) who have paid the health fee.
Prevention, Education, and Outreach can provide prevention programs to campus organizations, residence halls, fraternities, and sororities. A broad list of some of our topics includes:
- Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Education
- Fitness
- Nutrition and Diet
- Sexuality and Sexual Health
- Stress Management and Mental Health
For more information about these or other programs, contact the Office of Prevention, Education, and Outreach at 515.294.1868.
