Stress Management
Stress and mental wellness sessions are confidential services. They run approximately 30-50 minutes a session and address issues such as:
- Stress reduction
- Time management
- Relationship issues
- Short-term counseling in various areas
- Referrals
Mental Wellness appointments are available by appointment; to schedule an appointment, call 515.294-1868. For urgent needs, call Student Counseling Services at 515.294-5056.
Private Relaxation and Lactation Room
We also offer students, faculty and staff access to our relaxation room. This is a private and quiets
environment individuals may use for practicing a wide variety of relaxation techniques. Resources are also
provided free of charge, including:
- relaxation audio tapes and headphones
- books on stress management, self-care and managing anxiety
This space is also available as one of the campus lactation rooms for nursing mothers. To schedule the use of this room, please call 515.294-1868 and ask to schedule use of time in the relaxation room.
